Welcome to the 100-Hour minimum (1HM) Pilates Certification Program

Our 1HM Pilates Certification program is meticulously structured to provide you with a comprehensive foundation in Pilates instruction. This qualification designed to meet the minimum insurance requirements as well as ensuring that you are well-prepared to deliver safe, effective, and engaging Pilates Mat & Reformer sessions to a diverse clientele.

Whether you’re embarking on a new career path or seeking to deepen your understanding of Pilates, this certification equips you with the knowledge and skills necessary to guide others on their wellness journey.

Curriculum Highlights

The program is designed to cover a wide spectrum of essential topics to develop your Pilates expertise:

  1. Pilates Fundamentals:
    Explore the history and philosophy of Pilates, diving into its core principles, and understanding its benefits for physical and mental well-being.
  2. Anatomy & Movement:
    Gain insights into human anatomy, biomechanics, and the principles of movement. Understand how the body works to design targeted Pilates exercises for specific needs.
  1. Pilates Mat Exercises:
    Master a comprehensive repertoire of Pilates mat exercises, focusing on proper form, alignment, and modifications to cater to various fitness levels.
  1. Pilates Reformer Exercises:
    Experience the versatility of the Pilates Reformer and learn a wide range of exercises that can be adapted to various body types and fitness goals.
  1. Teaching Methodologies:
    Explore effective teaching techniques, cueing, and communication strategies. Learn to create well-structured, engaging, and progressive Pilates sessions.
  1. Provide First Aid:

* Unit HLTAID011 Provide First Aid, is not part of the course fees or offered by Positive Action Pilates.  Students with this qualification can apply for RPL.  Alternatively, it can be completed with an external provider.

Recognition of Prior Learning:

We value your prior experiences and education. If you have relevant qualifications or previous Pilates training, you may be eligible for recognition of prior learning. This means that you could potentially fast-track your certification process while still meeting the comprehensive standards set by our program.

Assessment

  1. Attending all modules
  2. Completing logbooks
  3. Formal assignment tasks
  4. Competency assessment

Note

  1. This outline is a general overview of the 1HM and may be varied depending on individual circumstances.
  2. For students who only wish to teach Reformer at health clubs or reformer studios, there is an option for this stream. However, your qualification will only cover reformer for this environment.
